The Police - So Lonely
Look how young they were back then lol. Awesome song though.
Smashing Pumpkins - 1979
One of my favorite versions of this song. This was from the Adore era.
Wait dear, a white horse is walking down my street here,
Your words are creeping at my feet
I fear, sunrise will come too soon and you’ll disappear
Into the haze of this city and go south…Look out, they’re coming after us with big guns,
They’re only gonna tell you all the bad things I’ve done
Even if they words they say aren’t true they’ve won,
Now I’m left here dying in the sunOh…seems like I’m always on my own,
Seems like I’m never coming home
Seems like I’m always on my own…
All the stars and boulevards aren’t close enough for you…
oh elise it doesn’t matter what you do
i know i’ll never really get inside of you
to make your eyes catch fire
the way they should
the way the blue could pull me in
if they only would
if they only would
at least i’d lose this sense of sensing something else
that hides away
from me and you
there’re worlds to part
with aching looks and breaking hearts
and all the prayers your hands can make
oh i just take as much as you can throw
and then throw it all away
And I could write a song
A hundred miles long
Well, that’s where I belong
And you belong with meThe streets you’re walking on
A thousand houses long
Well, that’s where I belong
And you belong with meOh what good is it to live
With nothing left to give
Forget but not forgive
Not loving all you see
U2’s hidden gems
Boy, October, and War are three albums that are underrated. This is a side of U2 people are not familiar with. This is before The Joshua Tree album. From Boy to the Unforgettable Fire, there are timeless amazing songs which catch your ears and mind. The lyrics are pretty deep and mesmerizing. If you get the chance please check out those albums. You will not be disappointed. There are a lot of hidden gems on those old albums.
I walk into a window, to see myself And my reflection When I thought about it, my direction Going nowhere, going nowhere
No one, no one is blinder Than he who will not see No one, no one is blinder Than me
U2 - I Threw a Brick Through a Window
This is too funny.
